Proteas

Named after the Greed god Proteaus, who could change his appearance at will, there are over 1,400 varieties in the Proteaceae family.  Common types include kings, minks, duchesses, banksias, blushing bride, and pincushions.  They are long lasting, sturdy flowers that also dry beautifully.
